The Last Dollar is a live artwork bridging the physical and the digital. A real ATM sits in a room, connected live to a website where anyone can feed it a dollar — $1, $10, $20, $50 or $100.
Each contribution stacks onto a single, ever-growing pile of bills — a collective artwork built one banknote at a time.
Approach
Every deposit starts a timer: the last person to hold the spot stays on the throne, their name displayed for as long as no one outbids them.
Given how strange and singular the concept is, the art direction leans into a retro-futurist visual language — a fitting skin for this cultural oddity.
